How to be a great Prime minister.

To be a great prime minister of New Zealand comes with great responsibility.  Leading the country comes with great respect for the people and having strength.  Today I will be talking about raising the minimum wage, lowering food prices and making public health care free.

Raising the minimum wage can have a great impact on our country. It can help businesses and companies grow widely throughout NZ, struggling households and unemployed people have a chance in life where they can be treated equally and a happy country. The average minimum wage of New Zealand is 18$ per hour which isn’t enough for most houses. I think the average minimum wage should be at least 35$ per hour. By changing that, it can help families put food on the table and pay for the rent. Minimum wage is a big problem in NZ and people need to see how big of a problem our economy is and improve it.

Lowering food prices. New Zealand has been changing through the generations, mostly the food prices. Our country has been suffering through bad and unnecessary amounts of money spent for just food. Food is a necessary essential for a living human being, I think it should be free but I know it won’t work well for this generation. That’s why I think it should be lowered to at least 140$  or more used per week for shopping essentials. Food prices have a big impact on our community and need to be seen as a serious issue we need to resolve.

Health care is one of the necessities that we all need. It should be something that can come for free without anything needed for it. A lot of families may not be able to pay for medication or other health essentials so it would be better for our community to change that for the better. Our country would have a lot of change in many great ways such as a healthy and happy community.

In conclusion, a great prime minister should be someone who notices how low our minimum wage is, sees how she/he can change the food prices and make healthcare free. The qualities that a prime minister needs is to be honest, relatable, kind,  respectful, responsible and much more.
